I did find the bathroom cramped and faced some issues with weak water pressure. This place is great for families looking for a cozy getaway but might require some updates for a more comfortable experience.

The Jeakes House Bed & Breakfast offers a wonderfully warm atmosphere with its friendly and accommodating staff. The breakfast is particularly excellent, with homemade marmalade and proper butter served in a dish, all beautifully presented. The cozy room provided really good comfort, and the honesty bar in the lounge created a good experience. The location is ideal, right in the center of Rye.
The electric shower had weak pressure.

The breakfast was just superb, homemade marmelade was delish and proper butter, not those tiny packs. Staff were so friendly and even great with our dog. The honesty bar in the cozy lounge was a cute touch, we loved it! Super comfy room and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud!

Amazing breakfasts and helpful hosts
We spent 4 nights here and can't get over how fantastic the breakfasts were! The full English was so good, and my wife raved about the poached eggs. Plus, the staff was super helpful, especially the guy who brought milk and juice to our table early one morning. The room could've been a bit bigger though.

Charming Ambiance but Lacking Service
Arriving on Mermaid Street was like stepping back in time. The eclectic decor added character, though the shower pressure was an unfortunate letdown. Future travelers should embrace the self-service bar vibe. It can be enchanting if you bring your own music. Don't miss the lovely living room.
